Who is it addressed to?
The Skilled Worker Card is designed for a construction worker who has been hired for a skilled worker job on site. Even if you are considered an experienced operator now, it is very important to be aware of the safety and health rules. Your primary interest should be to work in most optimal conditions.
This card fits in the series of cards for advanced operators and it tells your employer that you have a higher level of skills in your craft. It has a validity of 5 years.
More than 95% of the construction sites require NVQ cards to allow workers on site.
NVQ Qualifications
- What are the requirements to get a Blue CSCS card?
After you get this card, you will be able to prove that you have:
• Passed the CSCS test.
• Attended SVQ or NVQ Level 2 courses (these attest to your general competence in Health and Safety in Construction).
OR
• NARIC certification (equivalent to NVQ Level 2).
• A certificate, certifying the completion of an apprenticeship, issued by the City and Guilds of the London Institute Craft Certificate.
